This simple piece of white against black mashes up two wildly different popular culture icons to make something wholly and memorably unique. An embossed image of a Storm Trooper helmet, from the “original trilogy” of “Star Wars” films, is presented in profile so that it can properly splice with the trademark bunny of the “Playboy” brand of adult entertainment media.

The end result is a cheeky amalgamation that marries multiple opposing concepts beyond the mundane idea of “light versus dark” so commonly plied in black-and-white and grayscale artwork. The storm trooper is associated with militancy, rank-and-file conformity, poor eyesight from constantly missed blaster fire and are known to be all-male in the films and most literature within the franchise; conversely, the Playboy bunny is associated with freedom, individuality, women who catch the eyes of all who look upon her and femininity itself. This is quite the entertaining conversation-starting art piece.
